Welcome to School Year 2022-2023!


Some things to know:

Drop off and Pick up location and times

o Grades PK-3 in the drive -thru in front of the school

o Grades 4-6 in the D- building parking lot

o 7:15 am drop off if the student is eating breakfast

o 7:45 am drop off if NOT eating breakfast


Schedule - early release day on FRIDAYS @ 1:20 (2:05pm on M,T,W,TH)

Lunch:

Each student will receive free breakfast and lunch

Reverend Benjamin Parker qualifies for Title I money based on the number of students who qualify for free or reduced meals. Please be sure to complete the form that will be sent home at later date.


Mask policy:

o Indoor and outdoor masking is optional for students and employees, but highly encouraged. The HIDOE recognizes the benefits of masking for reducing the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses and any student or employee who chooses to wear a mask will have that decision respected.

o In the event of a cluster or outbreak, masks may temporarily be required indoors.

Uniform policy (Information can also be found in the resources tab):

Students are required to wear their Ben Parker T-shirts daily with appropriate bottoms of their choice.

Wellness check at home (Video also in procedures tab):

Ask that parents screen their children for illness at home prior to coming to school. If your child is sick, please keep them home. If your child will be absent from school, please inform the teacher and/or the school office.


What happens when your child gets sick in school?

If a child gets sick at school and has identified COVID-like symptoms, you will be asked to pick up your child immediately. The school will provide parents with further information at that time in regards to when the child may return to school.


Early Release of Students (in the event that a child will be picked up before the end of the school day.)

For a scheduled appointment:

o Please inform your child’s teacher at least 24 hours in advance – indicate the date, time, and reason for release (doctor, dentist, etc.)

o You must pick up your child, and sign the release at the office.

o A picture ID is REQUIRED to pick up the child.

Due to an Emergency Situation:

o Contact the office as soon as possible.

o Your child will be sent to the office at the designated time.

o Parent/Guardian must sign out and pick up the child in the office.

o Picture ID is REQUIRED to pick up the child.

    • Title I is a federally funded program that was created to ensure that all of our students receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. Money from Title I helps schools meet the required challenging Common Core State Standards with proficiency by providing additional academic support and educational services.
