The mission of the Ilima Intermediate School Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management (BTAM) Team is to foster a secure and productive learning and working environment for our Ewa Beach School community.
To fulfill its mission, the Ilima Intermediate School BTAM Team will:
Provide assistance to individuals affected by reported concerning behaviors within the school community.
Address behavioral issues at the lowest possible levels to minimize risk.
Offer recommendations for suitable intervention strategies.
Collect and document information, evaluating situations involving individuals of concern.
Facilitate connections between individuals of concern and internal or external resources as needed.
Monitor individuals of concern identified by the BTAM Team while on the Ilima Intermediate School campus.
Identify individuals whose behavior poses health and safety risks, taking appropriate actions in the school's best interest.
Enhance school community awareness of BTAM Team reporting and processes.
Collaborate with external partners such as Threat Team Hawaiʻi (TTH) and other relevant teams when addressing health and safety issues.
Maintain accurate and lawful record-keeping practices in accordance with state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
