OUR MISSION

The mission of the Ilima Intermediate School Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management (BTAM) Team  is to foster a secure and productive learning and working environment for our Ewa Beach School community.

To fulfill its mission, the Ilima Intermediate School BTAM Team will:

• Provide assistance to individuals affected by reported concerning behaviors within the school community.

• Address behavioral issues at the lowest possible levels to minimize risk.

• Offer recommendations for suitable intervention strategies.

• Collect and document information, evaluating situations involving individuals of concern.

• Facilitate connections between individuals of concern and internal or external resources as needed.

• Monitor individuals of concern identified by the BTAM Team while on the Ilima Intermediate School campus.

• Identify individuals whose behavior poses health and safety risks, taking appropriate actions in the school's best interest.

• Enhance school community awareness of BTAM Team reporting and processes.

• Collaborate with external partners such as Threat Team Hawaiʻi (TTH) and other relevant teams when addressing health and safety issues.

• Maintain accurate and lawful record-keeping practices in accordance with state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
