BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION TEAM

Ilima Intermediate School Behavior Intervention Team (BIT): 

Our objective is to foster a secure and productive learning and working atmosphere for all enrolled students and staff members. This entails aiding individuals who display concerning behaviors and endeavoring to involve them positively and appropriately within our school community.

Reporting an Individual of Concern: 

This reporting form aims to prompt members of the Ilima Intermediate School Community to report worrisome behaviors affecting the physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being or safety of any student, faculty, staff, or community member. These behaviors may include, but are not limited to, instances of self-injury, erratic conduct, disruptive behavior patterns, expressions of displaced anger, alterations in demeanor, or any other behaviors of concern, whether observed in-person or online.


Upon receipt of a report, our Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) will review and address it accordingly. A team member may reach out to you to provide an overview of the BIT process and gather further details. Additionally, if the reported behavior poses potential risks to the health and safety of individuals within our Ilima School community, our team may escalate the matter by forwarding the report to either HPD or CWS.

Ilima Intermediate School acknowledges the sensitivity of the information contained in this report and commits to making every reasonable effort to safeguard the privacy of all parties involved, in compliance with relevant state and federal regulations. This will be done while also ensuring the gathering of necessary information to address the incident and safeguard the well-being of the Ilima Intermediate School community.
