About me

Aloha Ala Wai Families! My name is Maile Young. I have been a school counselor in the Hawaii Department of Education for 23 years. I graduated from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with a Bachelor's degree in Japanese and Political Science and then earned my Master's of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology at Chaminade University. I was born and raised in Kailua on the island of O'ahu. I enjoy being in the outdoors, watching a good show on Netflix, watching sporting events, and spending time with my family.
