The AMS staff is on the look-out for students doing the right thing without being asked. Examples could be sharing supplies with a peer who doesn’t have something, offering to help out in the classroom, picking up trash that wasn’t theirs on the campus, etc.
When a student is "Caught Doing Good," the AMS staff member will give them a sticker.
The students may then go to bit.ly/CaughtDoingGoodDrawing to enter in a weekly drawing for an Ice Pop.

NEW FRIENDS BINGO!
On Wednesday, October 26, your Advisory Teacher will give you a BINGO game. Complete a few easy steps on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at recess or lunch (and Advisory on Friday) to win!!!
Instructions:
Look around campus and find people who can relate to traits in the bingo boxes, preferably people that you do not know already!
When you do find someone, have them sign their name in that box.
A person can only sign in ONE box.
You must fill out a row in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line to win.
Once you fill a line, bring the bingo sheet to F4 after school on October 26 - 28 for your prize!
This is the information for the school level Shake Competition in November. Our AMS Shake Challenge winners will determine our AMS who may represent us at the national level Shake Competition in Atlanta.

If you are interested in signing up for the AMS school level Shake Challenge in November please fill out this Google Form that is Due Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022.
The AMS School Shake Challenge will be a smaller competition modeled after the national one. If you choose to sign up to participate in The AMS Shake Challenge you will also have the chance to attend practice sessions to get tips and feedback to help you prepare.

In this competition students will be asked to think on their feet and present themselves with confidence, charisma, poise under pressure, and common sense in different situations and scenarios. Remember, these skills will truly help you in high school, college, job interviews and throughout your entire life.
LOOKING GOOD, PANTHERS! Free-dress Days
We are celebrating how great this group of Panthers are with Free-dress Days on Wednesday, September 7 – Friday, September 9 (and also so that you can dress-up for your school picture)!
Students may display their personal style with their choice of school appropriate clothing. Please review the guidelines below and add your personal flair. If there is any question regarding appropriate attire, you may be asked to speak to an administrator.
SCHOOL APPROPRIATE GUIDELINES:
a. All tops shall not reveal any cleavage and must cover the midriff. Sleeveless tops must have straps two (2) inches or wider and be tight fitting under the arms. Spaghetti straps, backless or shoulderless garments with or without jackets are not permitted.
b. All clothing must be free of messages relating to drugs, gangs, sex or profanity.
c. The length of the skirts or shorts shall reach the open fingertips when arm is extended down student’s side.
d. All skirt or dress slits must not be shorter than open fingertips when the arm is extended down student’s side.
e. No layering of shirts is allowed.
f. Sagging or oversized pants are not allowed. Pants must be secured at the waist (no under garments showing).
g. Baseball caps, visors, stocking caps, or sweat band of any kind are not to be worn.
h. Jewelry representing drugs, gangs, inappropriate language, etc. is prohibited.
i. Any gang related fashion is prohibited.
k. Students are strongly encouraged to wear their AMS ID if they are out of school uniform.
Students ages 11 - 14 may enter the Junior Division
Categories include art, creative writing, film, multimedia and more!
PRIZES - cash prizes up to $1000

May Panthers of the Month
The 7th grade Panther of the Month for May is Peyton Mannin. Peyton regularly goes the extra mile on her own school work and is also happy to help her classmates study and review the topics being taught in class. She is a kind and supportive classmate, making sure that everyone feels confident about what they have learned. Hoʻomaikaʻi e Peyton!
The 8th grade Panther of the Month for May is Molly Fitzgerald. Peers report that Molly gets along with everyone and makes the work fun when taking part in group assignments. March Panthers of the Month
Panther of the Month for March is Mikaela Morse. Nominated for being exceptionally responsible, a thoughtful problem solver and a great team member, Mikaela models the GLOs for all. She is very helpful to her classmates, explaining ideas clearly and helping others to understand confusing homework. Congratulations, Mikaela!
Panther of the Month for March is Alex Tate. Students and teachers nominating Alex report that he is an enthusiastic member of class. He supports his peers by being a resourceful and reliable team member when completing group projects. His positive attitude creates a friendly and productive climate in all her classes. Great work, Alex!

The 7th grade Panther of the Month for May is Jonah Rodriguez. Nominations report that Jonah is a really nice, respectful young man, making sure that he takes time to support classmates and teachers when help is needed. He goes out of his way to encourage others and asks clarifying questions so that everyone in class can succeed. Great work, Jonah!
The 8th grade Panther of the Month for April is Brianna Glenn Kopp. Glenn is a great role model whose work is always completed carefully and turned in on time. Whenever anyone needs help, classmates or teachers, Glenn is ready to step in and help out. This student is regularly respectful, kind and, to quote a teacher, “the epitome of a good person.” Well done, Glenn!

Panther of the Month for February is Alexia Moran. Nominations for Alexia report that she is a great role model for her peers, routinely putting others ahead of herself. She is always ready with a smile, making everyone feel welcome. If a classmate doesn’t understand the homework, Alexia helps find a way to figure it out. Well done Alexia!
Panther of the Month for February is Austin Hager. Austin was selected because of his positive and productive approach to school. He takes the initiative to solve problems, no matter how challenging. SBG Representative Elections will be on Monday, August 23 or Tuesday, August 24 during advisory. As with other activities, all representatives must have a 2.0 GPA.
Duties of the SBG member are to:
attend SBG meetings
share opinions and ideas from their Advisory Class in the SBG meeting using the SBG Report Form
share information from the SBG meeting with their Advisory Class
assist the Advisory teacher as needed
show Panther Pride by respecting and uplifting themselves, their peers and all AMS staff members
Representatives should not be an SBG officer, SCC, or PTSO student representative.
The Alternate is the 2nd place winner in the SBG Representative election.
The duties of the Alternate are to complete the Representative’s duties when the Representative is unable to.
