7th-grade

Recognition Assemblies

Recognition assemblies are held each semester to recognize student growth in academics and personal mindset.

If any parents are interested in donating prizes, please contact any of the 7th-grade teachers by calling our office at (808)774-8500.

We have a large class this year, so any extra kōkua is gladly welcomed! 😊🌺

work hard, play hard!

Recognition assemblies are an opportunity to have a little fun after a semester of hard work and effort.

Why does FOOD ALWAYS TASTE BETTER IN SCHOOL?

Student dues help fund food served to all students in the 7th grade during recognition assemblies... Everyone l❤️ves pizza🍕 and ice cream🍦!! 🥰

motivation to thrive

Recognizing students' efforts can encourage them to keep striving to do their personal BEST in school. We like to recognize students' academic growth, as well as their drive and determination. There's even an opportunity for students to create awards for their peers! 🤙🏽

  • Academic Achievement Awards: In the Spring, students will receive recognition certificates in both ELA and Math based on growth in iReady and SBA assessments.

  • Student Choice Awards: Students vote on fun categories and elect their peers for a variety of awards.

What types of awards can students earn?

  • AR Book Awards: Each semester in ELA, students are responsible for reading 2 AR books (1 per quarter), and will earn an award if they achieve this goal! --and just a side note--Students who have gone FAR above the required reading have scored pizza gift certificates, so you never know how much reading great books will pay off!

  • ELA Awards: Besides AR awards, students may also be recognized for showing exceptional effort and performance in English class!

  • Math Awards: Students can earn a variety of math awards for showing solid effort and doing their personal best in math class!

  • Science Awards: (TBA)

School Assemblies

There are also recognitions offered by the school (--which differ from the grade-level recognition assemblies).

During these events, students are recognized for perfect attendance and/or for making the honor roll or the principal's list each quarter.
