• Lack of Real-World exposure and opportunities Ex. Internships

• Underdeveloped soft skills in students Ex. Communication, Problem-Solving, etc.

Solution

• Host a mini-Career Development Conference

• Reach out to Local Business owners and professionals to market available jobs or internships

• Have guest speakers speak on the importance of soft skills and how to develop them

Result

• District 7 members will better be able to apply the knowledge acquired through DECA to the real-world

• District 7 members will be offered more opportunities to SUCCEED

Cross-Chapter Collaboration

Problem

• Lack of lasting student-driven Initiatives Ex. Non-profits/businesses

• Lack of Networking between students at different schools

Solution

• Host a mini-Career Development Conference

• Create shared spreadsheets with shared officer contact information

• Bring awareness to and offer incentives to schools who foster student-driven initiatives

Result

• Increased Collaboration between schools and their DECA members

• District 7 members will better be able to apply the knowledge acquired through DECA to the real-world

• District 7 members will be offered more opportunities to SUCCEED

• Increase success at ICDC (Finalists, Top 10, Glass Winners)

• Increase access to DECA+

• Create video series to offer competition tips

• Continue hosting and promoting Mock DECA

• Increased success at State CDC and ICDC

• District 7 will officially be the most dominant District in ALL OF DECA

• District 7 members will be offered more opportunities to SUCCEED
