There are lots of things you can do to take care of your brain and body. Many tools you already have at home. Use this list to decide what might be helpful for you right now...
Get a Drink of Water
Your body & brain need water to help you stay ready to learn.
Talk It Out
Taking a break to connect with a family member can be helpful when you need help solving a problem or just share stories.
Get Outside
Our body and brain need fresh air and sun. Getting a few minutes outside can help us reset, even when it's raining. A little "liquid sunshine" never hurt anyone :)
Rest
Sometimes all you need is some downtime to daydream, nap or relax.
Read A Book
Find a just-right book to read to yourself or ask a family member to read a book together.
Be Kind to Yourself
Use your inner coach to remind yourself that "You Can Do It!" or "You've Got This" & Give yourself a pat on the back for trying.
Have a Snack
Your mood can be affected when you are hungry. Try a healthy snack.
Get or Give a Hug
Hugs can be great mood boosters. Ask a family member for a hug. You can also hug a pet, a stuffed animal or yourself!!
