Welcome to our Glen Avon Elementary School Community School website! My name is Courtney Siegel and I am the Teacher on Special Assignment, Community Schools at Glen Avon. As a Community Schools TSA, it is my job to create a bridge between our school and the community. I am available to get resources for community members, teach students about various topics including diversity, as well as create a welcoming space for our community members to come to whenever there is a need. Our Community Classroom is a safe space for all members of the Glen Avon community. It contains resources, support systems, and an environment that encourages well-being, support, and community involvement.

Community Schools are built on four pillars - Collaborative Leadership & Practices, Integrated Student Supports, Active Family Engagement, and Expanded Learning - creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive place to learn. Our goal is to provide the community with the resources and support they need to become engaged in school, resulting in increased success and well-being for our students, families, and community.
