Completing and submitting a FAFSA is the single most important thing you can do to get help paying for college. Based on your FAFSA, you could qualify for grants, work-study, and student loans. Some scholarship applications also require a completed FAFSA.

MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
The Utah State Board of Higher Education offers a merit-based scholarship available to all Utah high school students:
Opportunity Scholarship (previously the Regents' and New Century Scholarships)
Needs Based Scholarship
Utah Promise Scholarship This program provides a statewide needs-based scholarship program to expand access to postsecondary opportunities for all students who face financial barriers in paying for college. The program provides students an award for up to full tuition and fees in qualifying circumstances. The application process includes completing the FAFSA and apply through the in-state college you plan on attending.
Technical Education Scholarship
The Technical Education Scholarship is available to high school seniors who are currently enrolled in an MTech program who will not be finished before high school graduation. Students will have the chance to recieve funding for the remaining portion of their program. Please contact the Mountainland Technical College Financial Aid Office for more information.
