Physical Education & Health Teacher 

ABOUT THE TEACHER

This is my 8th year of teaching physical and health education. I started at Jenkintown High School in January of 2022 and the students and community have been fantastic to work with. I attended Long Island University where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Health Studies. I continued my education at Touro College and received my Master's degree in Special Education & am currently working towards a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership. I am the Middle School Lacrosse coach and one of the advisors of the Middle School student council. This semester I am teaching Health10, P.E. 10, P.E. 8, Weight Training & Lifetime Sports.  I am looking forward to a fabulous year at Jenkintown!

Our Mission 

JMS/JHS Physical Education is a comprehensive developmental program focused on the education of the mental, physical and social well-being of the individual.  The interdisciplinary nature of Physical Education provides opportunities for all students to achieve the knowledge, skills and values that will develop and enhance their sense of well being and maximize the quality of their life.

The JMS/JHS Physical Education curriculum allows every student the opportunity to participate in activities which provide success and enjoyment.  Through the Physical Education experience the individual should have the opportunity to develop cooperation, tolerance, sportsmanship, leadership, loyalty, respect and honesty.

Physical Education develops personal living skills,knowledge and skill acquisition as well as the development of a personal value system which act as necessary catalysts in the development of an individual becoming an informed, healthy, and productive young adult.
