As we embark on our cell model take home project journey, I encourage students to get creative and families to get involved! This project is an opportunity to show what you know about cells! There are a lot of ways to make a cell model and there are thousands of examples on the internet for reference. You may chose to do a plant cell or an animal cell, using any materials you want, even food! The model must be 3D, and drawings will not be accepted. I ask that you do original work. Even though your project may be inspired by a reference photo, it should not look exactly like the reference photo. Below you will find copies of both the directions and the grading rubric. This project is worth 50 points!
You may choose to label your model or provide a detailed external key.
You must include a 1 page summary with your model describing your model including: what materials you used to represent each part of your cell and what that part of the cell does in a real cell.
You can attach your summary to your model or turn it in a separate piece of paper.
Your writing must be in your own words and your project must be original.
Use whatever materials you want!
Be creative!
This project is due no later than Friday, December 5th!
