Contra Costa County Library is open for Front Door Service only, visit CCC Library for more info.

CCC Library has many options for students to browse, such as:

  • Free e-books and audiobooks

  • Access to East Bay Times to stay updated on the latest news.

  • Access to Kanopy, a free movie-watching platform

  • and much more!

However, most resources provided by CCC Library require a library card.

How to Apply for a Library Card

Step 1:

Click link here: https://ccclib.org/

At the Library homepage, click the "Services" tab at the top.

Then, under "Accounts", click "Get a Library Card".

Step 2:

At the next page, you will have two options: apply for an eCard and apply for a Full-Service card (physical card). eCards give access to a limited amount of resources, Full-Service cards allow more access.

For a regular eCard, click "eCard Registration".

For a Full-Service card, also click "eCard Registration".


Step 3:

For both cards, fill out the eCard form. After all done, click "Accept" at the bottom.

Step 4:

After submitting your application, you will be sent an email confirmation with your new eCard information. If you only want an eCard, you are all done!

However, if you want a Full-Service card, complete the following steps:

  1. Once you receive the eCard confirmation, email CCC library staff at librarycard@library.cccounty.us

  2. In the email, include your name, library card number, and phone number.

  3. Staff will contact you for further information.

  4. Your Full-Service card will be mailed to you!
