Our research interests focus on the synthesis of novel biomaterials and their applications in cancer and cardiovascular disease. We are working on highly interdisciplinary research projects at the interfaces of biomaterials, drug delivery, and nanomedicine by utilizing our strengths in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, bioengineering, radiochemistry, and molecular imaging.
During my studies in the medical school, I worked on a project involving the preparation of radio-labeled nanoparticles in GMP facilities for a clinical trial. Inspired by this research experience, our current research is in close alignment with future clinical applications.
