Walnut blasting is a professional carbon cleaning method used to remove hardened deposits from the intake valves of direct-injection (DI / DGI) engine. We use finely crushed walnut shells to safely "sandblast" carbon without damaging metal. This restores airflow, combustion efficiency and engine smoothness.

Most DI engines require walnut blasting every 50,000 - 80,000 km, depending on driving conditions. Short trips, traffic jams, turbocharged engines and hot climates cause carbon to build up faster — sometimes even as early as 30,000 km.

Carbon buildup affects airflow, but clogged injectors affect fuel delivery. To restore full performance, both must work together. We ultrasonically clean, flow-test and balance your injectors using our machine — a step most workshops skip completely.
