15th - Peggy Crawford Nursing Scholarship for LLCC Nursing program *For Morgan county residents
1st - Bobby Hoffman Memorial Scholarship: A non-renewable award of $500 will be given to at least one JHS Boys Basketball player
annually who meets the eligibility requirements.
1st - Community Foundation: Variety of college scholarships. Each scholarship was established by generous donors and is unique, with its own set of criteria for applicants. Students may apply for and be awarded multiple scholarships. There are scholarships available for graduating seniors as well as current and returning college students.
2nd - Jacksonville Rotary Scholarships: Service activities, leadership activities, two letters of recommendation, 300 word essay that describes intended major and plans after college.
First Friday of March - Elks Association Physical and Occupational Majors and Therapy Assistant Program: Application available online beginning December 1st. Submit the application to the local Elks Lodge.
15th - Macmurray Foundation and Alumni Association Scholarships: Offering 13 different scholarships valued at $1,500 or more each
15th - Herman Dieckamp University of Illinois Scholarship: The intention of the gift is to award an annual, basic tuition and fees scholarship to an eligible and deserving student. Assuming funding availability and the recipient meeting the outlined renewal criteria during each semester of continuous enrollment, the scholarship may be awarded for a total of four consecutive years (eight fall and spring semesters) of undergraduate study.
31st - Cass-Morgan Farm Bureau Scholarships: CMFB Foundation will award at least three $1,000 scholarships and the Jo Ann Aufdenkamp Memorial Scholarship ($2,000) to our top applicant. Must major in an agricultural-related field of study at a recognized junior college or 4-year institution that offers agriculture science courses.
1st - Terry Hickey ’95 Vocational Program Award: A $500 non-renewable award will be issued annually to a JHS Senior who has been actively engaged in the JHS Vocational Program during his/her time at JHS.
1st - The Bud Walker Golf Award: To honor Bud, and in memory of his life on and off the course, the Walker family will annually gift a $250 award to a male or female JHS Senior who shares Bud’s love of golf.
1st - Helen C and Orville N. Foreman: Criteria shall include but not be limited to: Citizenship and Leadership; School and Community Activities, Educational and Career Plans and Academic Achievement
1st - Illinois Masonic Scottish Rite Scholarship: The Illinois Scottish Rite Scholarship Program takes pride in having sponsored over 40 students from our region for the past several years. For the 2021-2022 school year, hundreds of deserving Illinois students were awarded over $500,000 in scholarship money.
1st - Grass Roots Technical Scholarship: The Grass Roots Tractor Club in New Berlin, IL offers $500 to a high school senior or student currently enrolled in a technical/ vocational school program.
10th - Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #1265
15th - Brandon Lee Bork Memorial Scholarship: $500 scholarship for JHS Senior, 3.35 GPA minimum, participation in at least 1 JHS athletic team
15th - McLain Family Scholarship: The McLain Family will award an annual $500 scholarship to help a JHS Senior alleviate some of the financial stress of continuing his/her pursuit of higher education or trade school. Only persons planning to attend a college or trade school after high school graduation should apply.
15th - Parker Oldenettel “Gearhead” Award: The intention of this scholarship is to assist young people interested in pursuing a career in the automotive technology field, but is open to all fields of study, and to honor Parker’s life, and his love of all things automotive. This $1,000 award will be issued annually to a graduating senior from Jacksonville High School.
15th - Ron York, Jr. Memorial Agriculture Scholarship: This $500 award will be presented to a JHS senior who is a member of the FFA with high leadership capabilities, outstanding character, a sincere interest in agriculture, and someone who plans to continue his/her work in the agricultural field.
15th - Demolition Derby Scholarship: The Calhoun, Jersey, Macoupin, Morgan, Sangamon, and Schuyler County Fair Associations, announce the 2026 Scholarship Program. Under the program, $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded to seniors attending a high school in the six counties. These scholarships are designated for those students attending a vocational, trade, or technical school and will be awarded directly to the institution of the student’s choice.
30th - Lavern and Nola McEntire Lineworkers Scholarship: Scholarships are awarded based on an essay, a biographical statement, references, and a recommendation that will be submitted.
30th - Harmony Lodge #3 Scholarship: 3 Educational scholarships in the amount of $1,000: 1 for a 2-year Community College, 1 for a 4-year University of College, 1 for Trade School Training or Apprentice Trade Prgoram.
6th - Newton Bateman Scholarship: It is the intention of Jacksonville Harmony Lodge #3 to award a one-time scholarship of a minimum of $500 to a graduate of JHS and/ or Routt, who is pursuing a degree in science, math, or technology at any four year accredited college or university.
25th – JEA (Jacksonville Education Association) Teacher Scholarship: a child of a JEA member who is a college junior, personal recommendations, essay of interest in entering into the field of education, school and community activities.
