Gina Wakefield is in her seventh year as the Director of Bands at Washington Middle School. Prior to taking over the Washington band program, she was the Orchestra Director at both Washington and Jefferson Middle Schools for 8 years. Mrs. Wakefield was on the staff of the JHS Marching band for 13 years and directed the JHS Musical Pit Orchestra for 8 wonderful shows. She is excited to be dedicating her extra time to her private brass studio!

Mrs. Wakefield received her Bachelor of Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and went on to the University of Akron where she earned her Master of Music Performance (French Horn). 

Mrs. Wakefield is a Jamestown native, a former Washington LOBO, and a JHS graduate! She resides in Jamestown with her husband, Matthew and their rescue dog, Sam. When she's not in the classroom you can find her out in nature - camping, hiking, and kayaking or traveling to new, exciting places!
