Use this rubric to help you check for correct MLA formatting, research, and citations.
Use this tool to help you create a TITLE PAGE and be sure to select MLA in the drop down menu as your style.
There is no special title page unless your teacher requests it. Starting in the upper left hand corner of the first page, you will list: your name, teacher's name, course name and date. All lines should be double spaced. Double space again and center the title. The title should be in the same size font as your paper, do not underline or bold your title. The title should have standard capitalization; it should not be in all caps.
Here is an online guide from Easybib to help you with formatting your paper.
Here is a sample paper that explains formatting requirements in blue and green from the Owl Purdue Writing Center.
Use Noodle Tools to create your works cited page.
You should use a variety of sources including electronic, print, reference, newspapers, magazines, journals, primary sources, etc.
Every resource that you use in an in-text citation must be listed in the works cited at the end of the paper.
To see a sample works cited page visit the OWL Purdue Online Writing Center.
Remember: High school students should only use a general encyclopedia for background information and should not include it in their works cited.
