VIRTUAL students will visit the PE Google classroom to find weekly assignments. There will be a physical activity lesson and assignment to complete, as well as a health lesson and assignment. All assignments are due by Friday at the end of the school day (3:00 pm). All assignments will be graded for participation and effort. **6th and 7th grade students will complete LIVE "Life Skills" lessons on Tuesdays during their class scheduled PE time. (6th - 10:50, 7th - 11:30)
ON CAMPUS students can use the classroom to find a little extra fun or knowledge about what they are learning in our PE classes each week. The assignments are not required for students on-campus because they will be completed and assessed in person.

Participation - weekly - based on observed participation and effort during exercises, activities, and games
MASKS ON WHILE PLAYING. Students will be allowed a mask break if needed. They may step off to the side away from classmates to take a break and replace the mask before coming back into the game. **Because we can not see all of the students faces, it will be difficult to know if they are having trouble breathing. Please come find a teacher immediately if you are having trouble breathing or feel ill.
BRING A WATER BOTTLE. The water fountains are off to reduce contact with heavily touched surfaces. Please bring a water bottle with your name on it! Students will be allowed to drink water as needed from their own bottles. We will have coolers of water and set aside time at the end of PE to give water breaks.
6 FEET PE. We are still going to get moving, but we will all be 6 feet apart. No worry! It's still going to be a healthy and fun time with friends and classmates.
Students (PK-8) must:
participate in Health and PE activities.
wear appropriate clothing for movement activities. (School uniform, shorts under dresses/skirts, tennis shoes, jackets for outside weather when necessary)
show good sportsmanship to all other players.
follow safety guildelines.
DO THEIR BEST!
Students will be rewarded for safe and positive learning choices with
small treats
extra special games
free choice of their activity
school-wide PBIS incentives
If a student is having difficulty managing their behaviors, the student will receive
an initial warning/reminder to correct behavior
"Penalty box" / time out of activity
contact home via call, note, behavior report
office-based intervention/PE detention
Audubon School will partner with Benson (formerly Roosevelt), Alexander, and Woods to form a team for available sports. Audubon on campus athletes will ride a practice bus to Benson if participating during a season. Virtual students will need to arrive to Benson directly at practice time. Students will be provided transportation to and from games via JP Schools buses. All athletes must be picked up from Tom Benson School at the end of practices and games.
Physical forms and packets are available in the office or through the athletic department.
PHYSICALS
All students interested in trying out/participating in athletics during the 2020-21 school year will be required to have a LHSAA physical completed. Physicals must be completed with your child's physician in order to participate in sports.
**Physicals are good for one year after completing. If the physical would expire within the season, a new physical must be completed with the student's physician and turned in to the athletic director.
