Mrs. Tanya Maxwell's Class
About me: My name is Tanya Maxwell. I have been married to Andy Maxwell for 33 years. We have 4 wonderful children, a great son-in-law, beautiful daughter-in-law, and the five of the most perfect grandchildren. When I'm not teaching school, you can bet I'm spending time with them.
I am a Louisiana Tech graduate and have been teaching at Weston High School for the past seventeen years. What I like most about teaching is the feeling I get when I see a student's "light bulb" go off. That's such a rewarding experience. There are two sayings that I tell my students often throughout the year. 1. Mistakes are ok because Mistakes Allow Thinking to Happen, and we learn from our mistakes. 2.The other is from a book that I always used to read aloud to my fourth grade classes. It was the teacher's motto in the book. "Try hard. Then try harder!"
