GeoSciAIは2024年度から実施している地球惑星科学分野データにおけるAIモデル作成コンペティションです.主催者側が提供するデータから,課題目的を達成するようなモデルを作成していただき,評価データにおける評価スコアを競います.2026年度は,地震分野と気象分野の2課題の出題です.

GeoSciAI is an AI model development competition focused in earth and planetary sciences, launched in FY2024. Participants are asked to develop their models using datasets provided by the organizers to achieve specific task objectives. The evaluations for the models will be based on the scores on benchmark datasets. In FY2026, two tasks will be offered: one from seismology field and the other from meteorology field.
コンペティションの参加者に制限はありません.学生の方から社会人の方まで,広く応募を歓迎いたします.参加には日本地球惑星科学連合(JpGU)の会員登録は必須ではありません.詳しいコンペティションへの投稿方法については,「投稿方法」ページをご覧ください. # 今年度から自動採点システムによる自動採点を利用予定です.

There are no restrictions on participation in the competition. We welcome applications from a wide range of participants, from the students to working professionals. Membership in JpGU is not required to participate. For detailed instructions on how to submit to the competition, please refer to the “Submission Guidelines” page. Submissions will be evaluated using an automated scoring system.

The following awards will be presented for each task: one Grand Award, one Excellence Award, two Special Awards (one JpGU and one from JSAI), and one Student Award. The award ceremony will be held during JpGU-AGU 2026 at Makuhari Messe. Awardees will receive certificates and supplementary prizes. For further details, please refer to the “Submission Guidelines” page.
The award ceremony will be held in a hybrid format. For on-site participation, please register for the public session of JpGU2026 and attend the venue on the event day. e.g. May 24th 2026. For online participation, Zoom information will be sent in the early morning on the ceremony day to the registered participants. Participation is free of charge for both on-site and online attendees.

Date & Time: During the JpGU-AGU 2026 meeting period
(Scheduled for May 24th 2026, during the lunch break; approximately 30 minutes)
Participation: Advance registration required; free of charge
On-site: Register for the JpGU2026 public session
Online: Zoom information will be sent to registered competition participants (early morning on the ceremony day)
