Do you ever feel overwhelmed, anxious  or angry?  Ever wish you could find a way to talk about these things with someone you can trust?   OR, maybe you have a friend or family member you wish you could support better when they're having a rough day, and could use some help understanding what they're going through better.

Some leaders from Journey Communities are running a Kintsugi Hope YOUTH group starting Tuesday 30th January 2024  for 7 weeks (taking a break for the half term in Feb).  Learn more about it here!

'Kintsugi' (金継ぎ) is the Japanese art of repairing pottery with seams of gold.

The word means 'golden joinery' in Japanese.  This art form repairs the broken pottery in a way that makes it more beautiful, and even more unique than it was before being broken.  Instead of hiding the scars it makes a feature of them.  This is a picture of what can happen in our lives.

A bit about the group environment:

Kintsugi Hope is a UK charity striving to make a difference to people’s mental wellbeing.   A few of us from The FLTR Community have been trained through Kintsugi Hope, and are excited to be able to bring Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups to Bicester.  We will work to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone feels welcome to share about their own emotional and mental health journeys.  Wellbeing group leaders are trained to run group sessions that encourage, inform and inspire.  Leaders are not trained therapists, nor experts in treating or diagnosing mental or emotional health illnesses, however, where necessary they can signpost to specialist help.  We want you to know that for us as group leaders, it is our faith in Jesus and following his ways that inspires us in the way that we do business and build communities, and Wellbeing Groups are one of those things we hope will bring life to our community.  So, faith and spiritual health may come up for any of us around the table in the stories we share,  but this is not a Bible study, and the course itself is not a faith promoting course.  The option for prayer or more faith exploration may be offered, but will be kept separate from the group and will be optional.
