January 14: LMS Field Trip to Joshua High School
January 16-22: Students will submit their pathway endorsement top choices
Each year, students enrolled in the 8th grade Plan Your Path course have the opportunity to visit Joshua High School to experience first-hand the options & opportunities that they've been learning about in the Plan Your Path class.
A signed permission slip is required for each student in order to participate, and the forms are available from your student's Plan Your Path teacher. LMS will visit Joshua High School on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. See more information here.
Students enrolled in the Plan Your Path course will choose an endorsement for their 4-year plan. These areas of endorsement include:
Arts & Humanities
Business & Industry
Public Services
STEM
Multidisciplinary Studies
Endorsements consist of a related series of courses that are grouped together by interest or skill set. They provide students with in-depth knowledge of a subject area. Students earn an endorsement by completing the curriculum requirements for the endorsement.

JISD and Hill College are proud to partner together to offer JISD students the opportunity to earn an Associate's of Liberal Arts Degree while in high school. Students apply for the program in the spring of their eighth grade year, begin the program their ninth grade year, and graduate with a high school diploma from Joshua High School and an Associate's Degree from Hill College their senior year.
APPLICATION WINDOW: Friday, January 9, 2026 - Friday, January 16, 2026. This is a firm deadline.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must be a current 8th grade student enrolled at Loflin Middle School or Nichols Middle School.
