Welcome to our 18+ program!  

My name is Rebecca Couey and I am thrilled to be a part of the Special Education team here at Joshua ISD. I have 20 years of experience in education all right here in Joshua!  I've worked at every high school campus - New Horizon, DAEP, Ninth Grade Campus, and JHS.  I've taught many years of summer school, been an active band parent, coached cheerleading, and I drive a school bus for field trips and events.  Chances are we've met before but if not I would love to get to know you!  

I am married to my husband Roy and we have lived in Joshua for 25 years.  All three of my children attended Joshua schools for all 13 years!  My oldest daughter Ivy graduated in 2015 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University.  My son Joey '21 graduated from nursing school at The University of Oklahoma and is an Emergency Room Nurse in OKC.  My daughter Lillie '23 is at Tarleton on a music scholarship.  My sister and I both graduated from TCU and we are a Horned Frog family!  We enjoy following TCU athletics,  Sooner football, and attending all the Tarleton Texan football and basketball games that we can.  In my spare time I like to play the piano and spend time with my dachshund Harry and my grand-dogs and cats.
