My name is Emily Isbell, and this is my sixth year in education. My heart has been set on teaching for as long as I can remember! I have such a huge passion for middle schoolers because I remember that being one of the most formative times of my childhood.
I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching 6th grade Honors & Regular ELAR this year! I hope to instill my love for reading, writing, creativity, and problem-solving into my students. Building strong relationships with my students and their families is at the heart of everything I do. I truly believe that when we work together and support one another, our students can thrive both in and out of the classroom.
I grew up in Mansfield, TX where I attended school and swam competitively for 12 years. After high school, I went off to earn my bachelor’s degree at Abilene Christian University. I graduated in the spring of 2019 and have been in the classroom since. I moved to the Burleson area to be closer to my family, whom I am very close with. I have a big sister who made me a very proud auntie to Harper (9) and Tanner (6), and I’m also a dog mom to my very spoiled doodle, Lincoln!
This year is extra special because I’ll be getting married in November to my fiancé, Adam! I’m so excited to become Mrs. Aragon later this school year.
Thank you so much for allowing me to love and teach your children this year. Your students are my why. Please never hesitate to reach out if you need anything or have any questions or concerns! Middle school is a wild time, and we are in this together!!
