Natalie Nielsen (Director, 12th year)

Natalie graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in Modern Dance, a BA in English Teaching and a Major Equivalency in History Teaching, a TESOL certificate, a Gifted & Talented endorsement, and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. As a dance major, Natalie had the opportunity to perform with the University of Utah's Performing Dance Company. Since that time, Natalie has had the privilege of taking classes and workshops from various dance professionals, including dancers from Alvin Ailey in New York, Trisha Brown Company, Repertory Dance Theater, Ririe Woodbury Dance Company, and choreographers from the Millenium Dance Complex. Natalie also enjoys diving into choreography and instruction at several local schools and dance studios. While her passion is modern/contemporary dance, Natalie also teaches jazz, lyrical, hip hop, IB dance, and yoga. This year, she is excited to watch West Jordan's amazing dance company inspire audiences with their creativity, technique, and performance. 

Logan Stanley (President, 3rd Year)

Logan is 17 and has danced for eight years. Logan loves all styles of dance; she can’t pick a favorite. Logan has two younger brothers. Logan tried out for Dance Company because she loves to dance and loves all of the performing opportunities. An interesting fact about Logan is that she can spit water from her mouth like Marty from "Madagascar." Logan would love to travel anywhere warm and with a beach. Logan is looking forward to loving this team like her sisters, being involved, having fun and playing as much as she can. Logan loves dance because it helps her express herself when words are hard to find. It’s like a whole other world. It’s an escape. She feels a joy and peace when she dances and loves that she can share those emotions with others. 

Olivia Moss (Secretary, 2nd Year)

Olivia is 16 and has been dancing for 14 years. Her favorite style of dance is either jazz or hip hop. There are five people in Liv’s family; she is the oldest of three. Liv tried out for West Jordan's Dance Company because she wanted to have more experiences and meet new people. An interesting fact about Liv is that she can make a clover with her tongue. If she could travel anywhere it would be Greece or Bali. Liv is most looking forward to making new friendships with the girls and getting more dance experience. Liv loves dancing because she loves being  able to express herself without words. While she's dancing, Liv can have a clear mindset and can forget about all of her struggles. 

Taryn Kingsford (Costume Director, 2nd Year)

Taryn is 16 and has been dancing for 11 years. Her favorite style of dance is contemporary and jazz. Taryn is the youngest of four siblings. Taryn wanted to be on West Jordan's Dance Company so she could be involved in school and make friends. Her dream vacation is Greece. This year Taryn most excited to make memories with her girls and for the performances. Taryn loves to dance because it lets her express herself and is always pushing her to become better. 

Seniors

Olivia Bergstrom (3rd Year)

Olivia is 17 years old and has been dancing for 15 years. Her favorite style of dance is contemporary because of the emotion you can show. Liv has six people in her family: her mom and dad, two older brothers, and an older sister. She is the youngest by six years. Liv originally tried out because her cousin was on the team when she was in high school. A fun fact about Liv is that she hopes to become a physical therapist when she grows up. If Liv could travel anywhere in the world she would choose Iceland. She is looking forward to enjoying her senior year and showing everyone what she loves to do. Liv loves to dance because it gives her a different way to express herself that not everyone can do. She loves getting to know the girls and showing people all the hard work and time she's put into dance over the years! 

Juniors

Julie Moleni (2nd Year)

Julie is 17 years old and has been dancing for 4 years. Her favorite style of dance is jazz or hip hop. Julie has seven people in her family: she is the middle child with two older brothers and two younger sisters. Julie tried out for West Jordan's Dance Company because she loves dancing and feeling apart of a team. One interesting fact about Julie is that she wants go skydiving when she turns 18. If Julie could travel anywhere it would be Hawaii. Julie is most looking forward to making beautiful memories this year. Julie loves dancing because she loves being able to create and being a part of beautiful creations. It’s truly a good experience to have someone’s art come to life in performance.

Sophomores

Isabella Brenchley (1st Year)

Bella is 15 and has been dancing since she was 3. Bella started dancing at Studio 56 from 3 to 8, and then moved to Local Motion Dance Studio when she was 9. Bella’s favorite styles of dance are hip hop and contemporary; they’re her favorite because she is able to let go and express her emotions through movement. Bella has a family of four with one older brother. Bella tried out for Dance Company because she has wanted to be involved in high school, and she has always looked up to Dance Co ever since she did Tiny Jags. One interesting fact about Bella is she can surf. If Bella could travel anywhere she would want to go to the Bahamas because it’s a beautiful place and has amazing beaches. Bella is looking forward to performing at halftimes, athletic events, and concerts. Bella loves to dance because it’s her safe space, it’s a way she can express herself and how she's feeling without having to say anything.  

Hadley Hoecherl (1st Year)

Hadley is 16 and has been dancing for 13 years. Hadley’s favorite style of dance is jazz. She has ten people in her family: five brothers and two sisters. Hadley auditioned for the Dance Company because she wanted to keep dancing, make friends, and have a fun sophomore year. One interesting fact about Hadley is that she is missing a toenail. If Hadley could travel anywhere she would go to Hawaii. This year Hadley is most looking forward to going on the Dance Company's tour to Dallas, TX at the end of the school year. Hadley loves dancing because she loves the feeling it gives her.  

Paige Jarrett (1st Year)

Paige is 15 years old and has been dancing since I was 3. Her favorite style of dance is hip hop. Paige has two siblings and a brother-in-law. Paige auditioned for West Jordan's Dance Company because of her sister, Carli, who was previously on the team. Paige also wanted to be involved in something fun while in high school. A fun fact about Paige is that she has had 19 teeth pulled! If Paige could travel anywhere she’d go touring through Italy. Paige is most looking forward to the opportunity to choreograph. Paige loves to dance because there’s always something to work for and always skills to perfect. 

Sabrina Mick (1st Year)

Sabrina is 15 and has been dancing for 12 years. Her favorite style of dance is lyrical. There are five people in Sabrina’s family; she is the oldest of three. Sabrina wanted to tryout for Dance Company because of all the different choreographers that come in and teach, as well as the different dance styles the Dance Company studies. A fun fact about Sabrina is that she can shake her eyes. If Sabrina could travel anywhere it would be to the Bahamas. One thing she is looking forward to is all the choreography that Dance Company learns. Sabrina loves to dance because you can express all your emotions within the movement and choreography.

Gracie Oldroyd (1st Year)

Gracie is 16 and has been dancing for 12 years. Her favorite style of dance contemporary. Gracie has seven people in her family; she has four siblings and is the second youngest. Gracie auditioned for West Jordan's Dance Company because she wanted to diversify her dance experience by exploring new choreographic and performance opportunities. An interesting fact about Gracie is that she collects rubber ducks. If Gracie could travel anywhere she would choose Greece. Gracie is most looking forward to refining her technique and getting a better bond with the team. Gracie loves dancing because it makes her happy. 

Kate Robinson (1st Year)

Kate is 15 and has been dancing since she was 3. Her favorite style of dance is jazz. There are eight people in Kate's family, and she is number four out of the six kids. Kate tried out for Dance Company because she wanted the opportunity to learn more dances, and she thought it would be a nice change and a good challenge. A fun fact about Kate is that she has a pet tarantula. If Kate could travel anywhere in the world she would love to go to Italy. Kate is most looking forward to learning dances and meeting new choreographers. Kate loves to dance because it lets her express herself through movement and music, not to mention it's very rewarding and you get to meet a lot of amazing people.


Alex Wallace (1st Year)

Alex is 15 and has been dancing 7 years. Her favorite style of dance is hip hop. Alex has seven people in her family: five siblings and she is the oldest. Alex tried out for dance company because she loves dancing and being in a group that loves dancing as much as she does. An interesting fact about Alex is that she is a twin, and Alex loves to organize things. If Alex could travel anywhere where she would love to go to London. Alex is most looking forward to this year is making a better relationship with people around her. Alex loves to dance because she loves being able to portray herself in a different way than others. 

Managers

Gabriella Smith (2nd Year)

Gabby is 15 years old and did ballet for 10 years but had to stop at some point. It was hard to not be able to get back into it but becoming a manager has helped her a lot. She’s excited to be a manager because she can still be part of a team and be around all of the girls. She’s excited to see how everyone will grow throughout the year. She goes by Gabby or Gabs. She has one full brother and two half brothers, being the youngest of them all. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends and trying new things. Gabby loves being a manager because she can grow amazing relationships with each of the girls and Natalie the director. She also loves being able to help with whatever the team needs to help make the year go smoothly.
