U of U Drop/Withdraw

How to Drop Your U of U Classes

Through Friday, January 21, 2022, students may drop a course from their University of Utah schedule. The course will not appear on the student’s college transcript. After this date and ending on Friday, March 4, 2022, a course drop will be considered a withdrawal and will result in a “W” on the student’s college transcript. A withdrawal is considered an attempt to take a class, and three or more attempts may impact the student’s future financial aid.

Withdrawal from the high school section of a Bridge Program class does not automatically withdraw the student from the University of Utah Bridge Program course. Students MUST complete both the withdrawal process at the high school AND the University of Utah.

Before you withdraw from the University of Utah, you need to contact the following people at your high school and let them know that you will be dropping the course:

  1. Your instructor: Señor Larsen - spencer.larsen@jordandistrict.org

  2. Your Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator: Kristie Clawson - kristie.clawson@jordandistrict.org

  3. Your high school counselor

Once you have spoken/emailed the three people above, and have decided that dropping/withdrawing is the best decision for you, you can click this link to drop/withdraw from the U of U course.
