Welcome to the Elk Ridge Middle School Student Services Department! We are here to support and guide students throughout their middle school journey. Our dedicated team is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether students need academic counseling, emotional support, or assistance with any aspect of their school experience, we are here to help. Counselor Availability
Our counseling team will be back in their offices starting August 10, 2026. We understand that you may have questions or concerns, and we are committed to responding to your messages as promptly as possible after this date.
Urgent Assistance
If you require immediate assistance while counselors are away, please contact the Elk Ridge Main Office directly at (801) 412-2800.
Accessing Student Schedules
Student class schedules will be available to view in Skyward beginning on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Please log in to your Skyward account at that time to review your student’s schedule.

Check your class schedule again the night before school starts to ensure your have the most up-to date information.
Class Change Walk-In Sessions
To address any class schedule requests or concerns, we will offer several designated walk-in sessions. These sessions are designed to ensure your questions are heard and resolved efficiently.
Walk-In Session Procedures
◊ Please enter the school through the main entrance.
◊ Counselors will be stationed at tables in the foyer, just off the main entrance (at the entrance of the auditorium).
◊ Look for posted signs directing you to form a line in the 100 Hall.
◊ Meetings with counselors will be conducted on a first-come,
first- served basis.
Important Policy Reminder
Class change requests will ONLY be processed during the in-person walk-in sessions listed above. Requests submitted outside these designated times (including by email, voicemail, or in-person outside of walk-in sessions) cannot be accepted or processed until all walk-in sessions have concluded.
Online Classes
For questions or concerns regarding online courses, please contact your course provider directly (such as Jordan Credit Center, SOEP, Utah Online School, etc.). School counselors do not have access to these external programs.
