Rote Counting and Recognizing Numbers

Our goal is to instantly recognize the name of a number and its written symbol. 

Students will be able to count from 0-100 by 1's and 10's. 

Counting on from a random stated number will benefit students when learning to add.

Counting Objects 

Our goal is to instantly recognize how many objects there are. 

Students will be able to count objects one by one without the need to recount when asked how many. 

This is done by seeing patterns, using ten frames, counting on, and many more strategies. 

Handwriting

Our goal is to instantly write a number from 0-20 correctly. 

All numbers (and letters) must have the correct formation starting from the top. 

Shapes

Our goal is to instantly recognize the names of shapes.

 The shapes are triangle, circle, square, rectangle, hexagon, cube, sphere, cone, and cylinder!

Adding and Subtracting 

Our goal is to instantly recognize when to add or subtract. 

Students will be able to add and subtract within 10!
