Helping Everyone Grow and Flourish
IDENTITY INTEGRITY ASPIRATION
Weekly Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
I want to begin this week’s newsletter by extending a massive thank you to our incredible school community for supporting today's JOPSPA Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was absolutely wonderful to see our school hall filled with so many smiling faces, lively conversations, and, of course, a truly spectacular array of cakes! Thanks to your overwhelming generosity and the JOPSPA team for all their hard work. Your kindness truly embodies the warm community spirit we are so proud of here at our school.
Looking ahead to next week, we have some incredibly exciting events coming up. On Thursday, we will be celebrating National Poetry Day in a very special way. To mark the occasion, we are hosting our very first School Poetry Eisteddfod! Next week, children across all year groups will be exploring different styles of poetry, practicing their performance skills, and finding their creative voices.
Finally, we are also looking forward to welcoming the next generation of families into our school community. Our new parent tours for families with children due to start school in September 2027 will begin on Tuesday 29th September. If you have younger children who will be joining us then, or if you know neighbours, friends, or family members looking for a primary school place, please encourage them to contact the school office to book a slot. These tours are a lovely opportunity to see our vibrant Reception classrooms in action, meet our dedicated staff, and experience what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow. Thank you once again for your continued partnership, enthusiasm, and support in making our school events so successful. I wish you all a wonderful week ahead!
Take care,
Mr Fielder

Parent Roles 2026
At JOPS Parent Voice is extremely important to us. We know that parents' views can help us improve the school to ensure that every child grows and flourishes with us. With this in mind, this year we are introducing two new parent roles.
Parent Committee
The parent committee will be a representative group of 14 parents (one per class) who will meet with myself each term to discuss key issues and ways we can improve our offer for children and families. If you would like to express an interest in being the parent representative for your child's class, please complete the following Google Form by Monday 28th September at midday.

Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee
This year we will be starting an Equality Diversity and Inclusion committee which will include staff, governors and parents. The committee will meet termly to discuss ways that we can show our committment as a school to ensuring everyone in our community feels like they belong and can grow and flourish. If you would like to express an interest in joining this committee, please complete the following Google Form by Monday 28th September at midday.

☕🍰 A HUGE THANK YOU! 🍰☕
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Macmillan Coffee Morning & JOPSPA AGM this morning. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, as well as lots of new ones! 💚
A special thank you to everyone who very kindly offered their time to become a JOPSPA volunteer. We’re so excited about the year ahead and all the fantastic things we can achieve together to raise money for our school. 🙌 We’re also delighted to announce that we raised £187.96! 🎉
This fantastic amount will be split equally between the school and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Thank you once again to everyone who baked, bought, donated, volunteered, chatted and supported us. Your generosity and enthusiasm mean so much. 💚
Here’s to a brilliant year ahead with JOPSPA! 🥳
💙 A GREAT & EASY WAY TO FUNDRAISE FOR OUR SCHOOL! 💙
Did you know we have our very own JOPSPA Blue Bin? ♻️👕👟📍 You’ll find it at the staff overflow car park after the office entrance, before the Juniors entrance.
It’s a really easy way to support the school while having a clear-out at home! Bags of clothes, paired shoes and other suitable items can be dropped off at school drop-off or pick-up.
📦 Have a larger amount to donate?
Just grab one of the JOPSPA team and we’ll be happy to help organise it for you.
Every donation makes a difference, and we’re delighted to say that so far we’ve raised £700 for the school! 🎉💙 So next time you’re having a wardrobe clear-out, don’t throw it away — pop it in the JOPSPA Blue Bin! 🧥👚👟
Thank you for your continued support! 💙
Havering Street Tag
