About Me

My name is Julie Nichols. I have been in education since 1993. This is my 14th year teaching at VPA. I absolutely love my job! Teaching children is my passion and calling. I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan by 2 southern parents. After my Dad retired from General Motors and I graduated from high school, we moved to Paragould, AR. to be close to family.  I am a graduate of ASU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Physical Education. In my free time, I love being a JuJu to my two grandsons, being with family and friends, interior decorating, cooking, and SEC Football.
