About Me:

As a fifth year teacher, I feel truly blessed to be teaching at MacArthur Junior High. I graduated from Jonesboro High School in 2013, received my Bachelor's Degree from Arkansas State University in 2018, earned my Master's Degree in 2021, and received my Educational Specialist Degree in Principalship in May of 2024.

I am married to my beautiful wife, who is also a teacher. Together, we welcomed our first son, Rhett Elliott Simons, into the world on Sept. 8th, 2021, and our second son, Parker Brooks Simons, on October 3rd, 2023.

I love hiking, fishing, and just being active in general. In terms of sports, I mostly watch Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies basketball. I play guitar and piano, and lead worship at Central Baptist Church for the 7-12 student ministry.

While there are many things I enjoy doing, there is nothing I have a passion for quite like teaching. As a teacher, I am driven to provide education in a way that engages every student, and create an environment in which everyone feels encouraged and supported.
