I graduated from Harding University in 2013 with a B.A. in History and earned my Masters in the following year in Teaching. It doesn't feel like it, but this is the beginning of my 10th year of teaching! My first four years were spent teaching Social Studies at the Pocahontas School District. While there I taught Civics, Economics, World History, American History, and AP World History. For the past 5 years I was the GT and AP Coordinator for the Trumann School District. You could say that I am very well versed in everything that AP has to offer. I am so excited to be here at MacArthur! Go Cyclones!
I have a long time partner, Drew, and two very spoiled dogs, Baxter and Nova. I am currently serving as President of the Arkansas Governor's Quiz Bowl Association and my most recent Sr. High team are the reigning 4A State Champions.
I played Quiz Bowl in college and have a lot that I can't wait to share with the team here at MacArthur!
In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, and doing trivia. Trips to the movies are my favorite way to unwind.
