I’ve always had a love for preschool children, long before I started in education. It is so rewarding when a child overcomes an obstacle for the first time; from self-help skill to an academic skill, the complete joy you see on a child’s face can melt your heart. Preschoolers bring new experiences daily and a curiosity for learning. I feel as though I have as much to learn from them as they do from me. I love their honesty, curiosity, and ability to find fun and excitement in almost every situation.
I received my Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Kishwaukee College in 2004. I have taught children from 20 months to 5 years of age for 22 years. This is my 11th year at Jonesboro Pre-K.
