About Me

Hello!  My name is Darcy Whitehurst and I will be your child's social studies teacher this year.  This is my 19th year in the district and my 13th year at Mac.  I recently graduated with my master's in Gifted and Talented this year and am working on my lead teacher endorsement.

I live here in Jonesboro with my husband Steve and our three furbabies:  Gaston , Penny, and Amy.  Gaston is a big lovable teddy bear who is nearly 100 pounds.  Penny and Amy are recent additions to the family.  They are two peas in a pod or double trouble as we like to call them.  

I love to visit historical sites, museums, national and state parks.  Essentially any place where I can learn something or that has natural beauty.
