About Me

Hello!  My name is Darcy Whitehurst and I will be your child's social studies teacher this year.  This is my 19th year in the district and my 13th year at Mac.  I recently graduated with my master's in Gifted and Talented this year and am working on my lead teacher endorsement.

I live here in Jonesboro with my husband Steve and our three furbabies:  Gaston, Penny, and Amy.  Gaston is a big lovable 12 yoa teddy lab.  Penny and Amy are recent additions to the family.  Penny is a 8 mo pit and Amy is mo 7 pit and Blue TIck Hound.  They are two peas in a pod or double trouble as we like to call them.  

My husband and I love to travel.  Our favorite places are out west (Utah and Colorado).  We love camping, Jeeping, and riding in our side by side.  We also love visiting historical places, national and state parks, and learning as much as we can about the world around us!
