Virtual learning has been incredibly challenging for everyone involved. Our goal is to help students achieve academic success during this time. Tutors with the Spartan Eagle Alliance will meet one-on-one with students to help direct them towards success.
Our team of tutors is comprised of high achieving individuals who attend Smithfield-Selma High School. Each one is dedicated to students' success and can be reached via email.
Students are expected to follow the Eagle Code for virtual learning while attending sessions. The Eagle Code can be found on Clayton Middle School's Remote Learning site at the end of the home page.
In order to attend sessions, students must have a parental permission form completed and submitted. This form is hyperlinked in the Parent Permission Letter and Form and Spanish Parent Letter links below. Parents, we ask that you please read the letter and complete the permission form. As soon as the parental permission form has been submitted, a student may sign up for a tutoring session.
Tutoring sessions will be held over Zoom. While attending sessions, students are not required to turn on their cameras, but they should be prepared to use their microphone if they are able. Students may communicate with tutors using the chat, however, it is preferred that students use microphones. Students should also be prepared to share learning materials (text, documents, etc.).
It is preferred that the permission form is turned in on paper. If you need a new form to print off and turn in, please print the form on the link attached below.
To schedule a schedule, students should click the "Schedule a Session" link below or select the "Schedule a Session" tab at the top of this page. Then simply
refer to the tutoring schedule to find an open time and
complete the Google Form to schedule a session.
Tutors will reach out to students via email to finalize details of their individual session and share a Zoom link for the session.
Please not that there are a limited number of slots for tutoring sessions, and they will be first come, first serve. In addition, any important announcements regarding SEA will be posted on the "Announcements" page.
