Animal Science II Small Animal Honors

Animal Science II Small Animal

Welcome to Animal Science II Small Animal! I am excited to be working with you this semester. In this course, we focus on small animals (I prefer to call them companion animals) such as dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other rodents, as well as birds, fish, and reptiles. This course covers care and breeds of many different species as well as diseases and anatomy and physiology of these companion animals. I am excited to say that our new facilities allow for more labs for this course, and more hands-on learning! Come prepared to learn by demonstrating skills needed in the companion animal industry, including veterinary skills, as this course leads directly into the Veterinary Assisting course if you choose to take it. This class is inherently honors, meaning that if you are enrolled in this course, you are automatically an honors student and cannot be considered standard for this course.
