WorkKeys: Juniors and Seniors who are CTE concentrators

Students who are identified as CTE concentrators are required to take the ACT WorkKeys suite of tests at school on an assigned day and time between

December 2 - 11, 2019.

WorkKeys is a basic skills assessment system designed by ACT. The purpose of the WorkKeys assessment is to evaluate a student’s job skills so that future employers can select, hire, train, and develop a high-performance workforce.

Employers in the United States are using the results to make the most effective decisions in hiring new employees and promoting existing employees based on their abilities to learn new information.

In today’s economy, more than ever before, job seeking has become fiercely competitive both here and abroad. WorkKeys is an industry-recognized certification that demonstrates students’ work-ready skills, making our students more attractive to future employers.

The WorkKeys assessment is designed to measure students’ career readiness as they prepare to enter a career or college by assessing their abilities in three core areas:

Applied Math

Graphic Literacy

Workplace Documents
