Hello! My name is Ashley O'Keefe and I am your school counselor at South Johnston High School. School counselors do so much more than schedules! We are trained to provide brief counseling services in the areas of academics, college/career, and social/emotional concerns. Let's work together to make your high school experience as successful and fulfilling as possible.

A bit about me. I was born and raised in Southern California, where I spent most of my time near the Pacific Ocean. I have now lived in North Carolina for several years and I am still in awe of our lush greenery and the beautiful seasonal changes. I am so proud to be a high school counselor, where my passions for the field of counseling and helping adolescents meet perfectly. I am very family-oriented and spend most of my free time with my son and our two pets. For self care, I love to visit art museums, attend live music festivals, laugh with friends, read, journal, and watch YouTube videos.
