Hello! I am Mya Ward and this 2025-2026 school year will be my 4th year teaching at Porter Elementary. I was very lucky to be able to also student teacher at Porter before becoming a teacher! For the last 2 years I have had the privilege of teaching 3rd grade math, and I am excited to be able to continue that. I have loved being able to have the opportunity to teach in the same district that I attended now along side other former eagles and teachers I had while in school. On top of teaching I am also the head coach of the 4th & 5th grade academic team. 

When I am not working; I love baking,  crafting, trying fun restaurants, attending concerts, attending music or craft festivals, county music, and being with my friends or family. Above is my soon to be sister-in-law, brother, mom, and myself.
