I can start from the beginning, or at least the beginning of my school. I attended elementary school at W.R. Castle and Flat Gap both for an equal number of years. I then, of course, joined the student body at Johnson County Middle School. Finishing up my schooling in Johnson County Schools at Johnson Central High School in 2017. Upon graduation, I continued my education at Morehead State University where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education Math/Science in 2020. That's when I was selected for the opportunity to teach here at JCMS!
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher coming from a family of educators. My dad, Mr. Chris Pierce, works at the board office as the Student Success Coordinator. My mom, Mrs. Melissa Pierce, teaches here at JCMS as the technology exploratory teacher. My brother, Mr. Byron Pierce, teaches mathematics at Johnson Central High School. Education has always been a respected profession in my family and I knew what an impact my teachers had on me. I wanted to help students become the best version of themselves, so here I am teaching middle schoolers now!
My husband and I have been married for four years! We have two children, Elaina Kate and Brock Garrison. We also have a mini-schnauzer furbaby, Marley. I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and listening to music!
