I have been a member of KASA (Kentucky Association of School Administrators) since 2019. I have served as the Johnson County District Ambassador for the organization, while also serving on the Government affairs district advocacy team. Working with and building relationships with leaders in our state legislature. This past school year I also had the chance to be a part of the KASA Aspiring Principals Program Cohort #1. Working with other leaders throughout the state, building relationships, and deepening our learning through participating in the leadership challenge. A fantastic experience that I would recommend to other future Principals.
Also part of our district leadership just recently participated in a training through Franklin Covey about the Fundamental Beliefs of Trust & Inspire leadership is about getting results and doing it in a way that grows people. It is about being effective with people and trusting them to do the right things and inspiring them to make meaningful contributions. It's about caring, growth, and opportunity. That is the type of leaders that I strive to be like daily!
