Schoolwide Goals & Celebrations
Highland encourages students to complete two mathematics and two reading i-Ready lessons per week at 80% accuracy. The student scoreboard is located in the cafeteria. As students reach each level, they get to move their picture for all to see.
Lunchroom Belt Champion
At Highland Elementary, we have a daily lunchroom belt competition. Winning is based on behavior and good manners while in the cafeteria. Each class chooses a theme song and at the end of each day on the announcements, the winning class hears their song and is then presented with the lunchroom championship belt.
The class also earns the right to be seated at the coveted round tables in the cafeteria the next day.
A tally of wins is recorded and homerooms are able to level up to win prizes!
Kindergarten student, Alex loves trying on the belt!
Nice job, Mrs. Dennison's class!
Even our 6th graders love to win the belt!
Mrs. Estep's 4th graders were pumped!

Teachers and staff arrived early to school to celebrate and encourage students to do their best on the KSA test.
