Hi! I am Courtney Wright. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, working out, or anything outdoors. I am beginning my first year teaching. I have worked at Highland Elementary for several years as an after school instructor. This year I will be teaching sixth grade reading and social studies. I am excited to learn and grow with my students and colleagues at Highland Elementary this year.
My husband, Jerrad, and I got married in June of 2024. We have one dog, Ruger. He is an 8 month old German Shorthaired Pointer who loves to swim and chase birds. He is scared of his own shadow. Jerrad and I have also recently learned we are expecting our first child. We are anxious and excited to start this journey!
My mission is to give my students my very best each and every day. I want to inspire my students to do and be their best at whatever they do in life. I want to guide my students to become kind, respectful, and compassionate leaders.
Our class mission is to empower, respect, and encourage each other. We will challenge each other to do our best each day. We will be leaders and we will be responsible for our own learning.
We believe our purpose is to holistically educate all students to their fullest potential emotionally, physically, academically, socially, and morally. We want to serve our community by serving our students and giving them opportunities to grow in all aspects of life.
