6th Grade Choir
This two-semester course is a performing ensemble open to anyone who is interested in singing. This ensemble will also focus on basic techniques for developing music literacy. Additionally, students will sing a variety of styles of choral music. Members perform in several required concerts outside of class and may also be required to perform at other events such as organizational contest, sporting events, graduation, etc. Please note, students may participate in both band and choir simultaneously.
7th & 8th Grade Choir
This two-semester course is a performing ensemble open to any 7th and 8th grader. Singers in this ensemble will focus on more advanced singing techniques, challenging their musicianship skills in music literacy, aural training and sight singing. Students will perform in a variety of choral styles and genres. Members perform in several required concerts outside of class and may also be required to perform at other events such as organizational contest, sporting events, graduation, etc. Please note, students may participate in both band and choir simultaneously.
