Welcome to 2024. Happy New Year students! We are now halfway through the school year. Are you excited? I know I am. We have already had some turmoil this month, with the broken water line causing Jefferson Parish to have no water, bad weather causing days off of school, and the arctic blast making streets too icy and dangerous to drive on.  Now that the weather has lightened up, school days have been consistent. The girls and boys basketball teams have been busy with their seasons.  Other winter sports have been taking off including baseball, wrestling, soccer, and bowling. With Valentine's Day and Mardi Gras break soon approaching, remember to be safe and have fun!  On behalf of The Patriot Picayune staff, we hope that 2024 comes with blessings to you and your family.
