Mrs. Guillie with Caroline Naccari(freshman)
Mrs. Guillie
Mrs. Marisa Guillie has been a part of the Patriot family for the past ten years and is a math and science teacher. This year, for the first time in her 27 years as an educator, she is teaching an 8th grade English class . Also, she is the sponsor for the Interact Club. She said, “I love teenagers, school, and being a part of a teenager's journey of figuring out who they are.” She first fell in love with JCCS when she brought her son to an admissions interview with Coach J.T. She immediately enrolled her sons and then began teaching at JCCS a few years later. She describes JCCS as, “What school is supposed to be!” Mrs. Guille is married, has three sons, and has the two cutest twin granddaughters, Charlotte and Amelia. A fun fact about her is that she was once on the TV show Family Feud. (If you ask her, she might be able to show you a video clip of herself on the show!)
Coach Kendrick
Coach Kendrick
Coach Kendrick has taught English and coached wrestling at Curtis since 2006. He is also an alumni and was a part of the first wrestling team at John Curtis. Before coming back to teach at Curtis he served in the Marine Corps and Army. He has two sons who graduated from JCCS. One is now an engineering student at UNO and the other is in Pre-med at Loyola. When asked what he loves the most about teaching he said, “The enthusiasm students have when they learn something new, but the summers off are not bad either.” A fun fact about Coach Kendrick is that he has visited 25 countries including Dubai, Australia, and Kenya.
