Innovative Teaching and Rethinking

I am Dr. Pavan Kumar M.P, working as Associate Professor from 01 May 2022 and served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering at J.N.N College of Engineering since 02 Aug 2010 to 31 April 2022. I also served as Lecturer in Computer Science and Engineering at BGS Institute of Technology from august 2009 to July 2010 (Now Adichunchanagiri (Deemed) university). I did my Bachelor of Engineering from VTU University and I did my M.Sc (Engineering) by Research Post-Graduation under the Guidance of  Dr. H.S Nagendraswmy, Professor, Dept. of studies in Computer Science, UOM ,Mysore. I did my Doctoral  Degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University under the Supervision of  Dr. Poornima B and Dr. HS Nagendraswamy. I have 14.8 years of teaching and 12.5 years of Research experience. 

Qualified in Karnataka State Level Eligibility Test (KSET) 2020 accredited by UGC, which is mandatory for any faculty position in Universities. 

I have taught the following courses for undergraduate students such as Computer Networks, Database management system, Data Communication, Data Structures, Problem solving using C, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, Principal of Programming Language, Software Testing, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition  and Medical Image Processing. 

I have been recognized as Research Supervisor (Ph.D/ M.Sc (Engg) / Integratd Ph.D ) of the faculty of Computer and information sciences at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.

 I served as Board of Examination (BoE) member of Computer Science / Information Science Engineering at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi (2022-2023).

I received the Rashtrapati Puraskar award in the Year 2002 for the achievement of Best Scout of Karnataka, from Late President of India Mr. K.R Narayan.

I working as CO-Principal Investigator for funded research work " Novel Integrated Filter Based Approaches For Image Abstraction To Investigate The Hidden Research Issues In Image Processing Domain".  Project has been funded by Vision Group of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka under K-FIST L2 (Grant No: No.KSTePS/VGST-K_FIST L2/2019- 20/GRD No.758/315) with the INR of 40lakhs (2019 to 2021). 

I have guided 19 Undergraduate Projects and 1 Postgraduate Projects and Guiding 3 Ph.D Research Scholors. I have published 15 paper in International Peer reviewed Journals, 1 International Conference Papers, and 1 national conference. My Research Interest includes:  Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning,  Human Behavior Analysis, Image Processing and Computer Vision.
