Tainan Municipal
Jianan Elementary School
Back to the time when the Japanese governed Taiwan, the school was built to educate the children of those engineers who came here to build Wushantou Reservoir.
So, the school had a strong Japanese influence and the classrooms were all made of woods.
At that time, classes were packed with students.
There were about 50 students in each class.
And there were even up to 60 students in an elite class which was aiming to pass the academic exams.
At present, the classrooms are rebuilt with cement and bricks.
Now, students are more comfortable in class.
Due to modernization, digital devices are utilized inside the classroom.
A nice library and an auditorium are also built for student’s use and convenience.
The huge grassland and ecological waterway make the campus look like it laps in the nature.
In addition to all the beautiful things in school, having Wushantou water dam and Yoichi Hatta Memorial Park next to us is truly magnificent.
Indeed, we are very lucky to be able to study in Jianan Elementary School.
